Privacy policy: Jeppe's Health Coach

Jeppe's Health Coach is a personal app with one user, its owner. It is not offered to the public.

What the app reads. With your permission in Apple Health:

• lab results from Health Records;
• your doctors' vital-sign records;
• weight, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, VO2 max, blood pressure and sleep.

You choose these on Apple's permission screens and can change them in the Health app at any time.

Where the data goes. The app sends this data only to your own "coach" program running on your own Mac, over your private Tailscale network. It goes nowhere else: no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking. The app stores no health data on the phone and none in iCloud.

What the coach does with it. The coach stores the data on your Mac so you can check, save and ask questions about your own records. When you ask a question, the coach may send the relevant lab results, or summaries of vitals, to Anthropic's Claude service. Claude processes them only to answer you, under Anthropic's commercial terms. Your health data is never sold or used for advertising.

Backups. Your Mac keeps local backups, plus one nightly encrypted backup in your own iCloud Drive that only your password can open.

Keeping and deleting. Data stays on your Mac until you tell the coach to forget it. Forgotten data is deleted and is refused if it is ever sent again. Unpairing the app stops all further sending.

Medical advice. The app and the coach don't give medical advice. They explain your own records.

Changes. Any change to this policy is dated on this page.
